Victoria Place Redevelopment
The Planning Department of the City of Thomasville, GA has conducted a redevelopment study of a southwestern portion of the city. The resulting Victoria Place Urban Redevelopment Plan (VPURP) has been drafted in accordance with the State of Georgia’s Urban Redevelopment Act (O.C.G.A. 36-61 et. Sequ.).
The principal objectives of the redevelopment plan are to promote appropriate infill housing developments, rehabilitation, and reinvestment while addressing public infrastructure deficiencies, blight and unsightly and hazardous private property conditions. Through the planning process, strategies have been developed to promote investment within the area.
