Commercial Dumpsters
The City Ordinance allows Commercial customers three (3) choices on garbage removal:
A. Utilize City Solid Waste Division service
B. Utilize another company and provide the Solid Waste Division a paid receipt from the other company
C. Establish a Landfill account that is used at least twice (2) a year
Businesses utilizing Commercial Solid Waste service may choose the size of the dumpster, day or days of pick-up (Monday through Friday) and type of container. The cost of this service is based on the size of the container and the number of times a week the container is serviced. Please call the Solid Waste Division at (229) 227-7092 for rates.
Dumpster Sizes
Dumpsters are available in the following sizes:
1. 4 Cubic Yards
2. 6 Cubic Yards
3. 8 Cubic Yards
Types of Dumpsters
A. Slant Top - These dumpsters have plastic lids that can be lifted open in order to dispose of the garbage from the top of the container.
B. Side Doors - These dumpsters have plastic lids as well as side doors that slide open.
C. Lockable Container - When utilizing this type of container, the customer is responsible for furnishing a lock and providing Solid Waste staff with a key or combination to the lock. A lockable container prevents the dumpster from being used by anyone else.

- Solid Waste audits to help you know the size and type of container needed
- Service vertical compactors
- Cardboard Dumpsters
- Shared dumpsters for those businesses with limited space and in the same area as another business
- Commercial Barrels for small businesses that have a small amount of garbage and limited space. These barrels are emptied up to five (5) times per week, the day or days may be chosen by the customer.
