Energy Control Center

(229) 227-5499

The Energy Control Center (ECC) is the City of Thomasville’s monitoring and trouble reporting facility.  It operates year-round 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with two operators on shift at all times. Electric, gas,Energy Control Center water, and sewer are the main monitoring responsibilities of the ECC, but it also handles trouble calls for CNS television and Rose.net after the Thomasville Utilities Call Center closes.

ECC uses an automated outage reporting system to correct electrical outage problems. The outage reporting system uses Caller ID to automatically match a customer’s phone number and account information.  This process quickens crew reponse times.

The phone number to call to report any type problem you are experiencing with your utilities is (229) 227-5499.  All customers that report a utilities problem will receive a call back from ECC once the problem has been resolved.

As a courtesy to our customers, the Energy Control Center takes payments after hours from 5:30pm to 9:00pm for customers disconnected for non-payment of their bill.  There is a $32.00 service charge for all after hour reconnections and new account service.

The ECC also remotely monitors the new Compactor Sites located on Sunset Drive, Dillon Road, and US Highway 19 North (at the Ochlocknee River).   Hours of operation for these sites are weekdays from 6:00am to 9:00pm and weekends from 7:00am to 7:00pm.  The gates to these Compactor Sites are opened and closed remotely. Call boxes are also available at each site to reach the operator if problems are encountered.
