A Message from the chief

Chief Bryan CroftOn behalf of the Honorable Mayor Camille Payne, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Thomasville Fire Rescue webpages.  I am extremely proud to have the opportunity to lead this team as we serve the City of Thomasville and our entire community.  Thomasville is 18 square miles in size with an approximate population of 18,000.

On May 1, 2005, I was appointed Fire Chief by City Manager Steve Sykes.  I was honored by the selection and I value this position.  I have 13 years service with Thomasville and a  total of 23 years in the Fire Service.  Thomasville Fire Rescue is an ISO Class-2 department with 43 of the most dedicated members in the profession.  Our current team consists of two Administrative personnel, two Fire Prevention/Fire Safety Education personnel and 39 Fire Suppression personnel.  Each member of our department is proud of our commitment to excellence and safety, our dedication to serve, and our desire to exceed all customer expectations.  We value Honesty, Integrity, and Respect.

Feel free to browse our webpages as well as other City of Thomasville departmental webpages so you can see the vast services Thomasville provides.  If you have never visited Thomasville, please make plans to visit us someday soon.  You can also visit our Main Street and Tourism Department for dates to annual events like Rose Show, Victorian Christmas and the annual Thomaville Fly-in held at the Thomasville Regional Airport.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site.

Chief Bryan T. Croft
